To start driving with Quicoo, just meet a few key requirements—we’ll guide you every step of the way.
Vehicle Requirements
- Vehicle must be no more than 15 years old
- Must have 4 doors and seat 4–6 passengers
- Must be in excellent condition, with no damage, stickers, or commercial branding
- Must be registered as a Commercial Passenger Vehicle (CPV) with CPVV
- Must pass a vehicle inspection by Redbook Pty Ltd every 12 months (Exemption applies to brand-new vehicles less than 12 months old)
- Covered under valid third-party or comprehensive insurance, with rideshare use included
- Must have a Roadworthy Certificate (RWC) unless exempt
Driver Requirements
- Be at least 21 years old
- Hold a full, unrestricted Victorian driver licence for at least 6 months
- Must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid visa with current VEVO work rights (for non-citizens).
- Have an active ABN and be GST-registered
- Hold a current Driver Accreditation from Commercial Passenger Vehicles Victoria (CPVV)
- Pass a National Police Check (clear criminal history)
- Be listed as an insured driver on your vehicle’s insurance
- Own a smartphone with internet access, and provide a mobile number and email address
- Register on Downtrick (CPVV’s system for vehicle and driver compliance)
Document Requirements
- Profile photo – Clear, front-facing (JPG/PNG, at least 200x200px)
- Victorian Driver Licence – Front and back copy
- Alternative ID – Passport, birth certificate, Immi card, or citizenship certificate
- CPVV Driver Accreditation certificate
- Proof of ABN & GST registration
- Commercial Passenger Vehicle registration confirmation
- Redbook vehicle inspection report (within the past 12 months)
- Proof of insurance – Must list the driver and cover rideshare use
- Roadworthy Certificate (RWC) unless exempt

You can drive for Q-Rides (one-way rides), Q-Hire (hourly bookings), and Q-Deliveries (small local parcels under 20kg).
Yes, you can take both types without switching profiles—just keep the service active from your service settings.
You’ll earn based on the hourly plus distance rate. Customers are charged per minute or kilometer after crossing the hourly limit. You get paid an hourly rate for Q-Hire bookings, plus extra if the trip goes over time or distance. Extra charges kick in per minute or per kilometer after the booked time is up.

No, if you're approved for Rideshare, you're eligible for these services too.
